GeoTerrestrial GeoLogger GeoLogger
Tired of GPS "logging" and "tracking" programs that eat away your battery in just a few hours leaving you with nothing but GPS withdrawal symptoms? Try GeoTerrestrial GeoLogger. Log your movement for an entire day without worrying about battery drainage! Log file plotting on map and animated "playback" on your device or the desktop. Also, the geologger will never clip corners, and will perfectly follow loopy highway ramps.

FAQ
  • How do I install it?
GeoLogger is included with GeoTerrestrial GPSToday version 0.9.9.1 and above.
  • How frequently does it log my location?
When set to IntelliLog, and the GPS is on in persistent mode, the GeoLogger modulates the logging frequency in real-time based upon the curvature of the path you are travelling. The frequency is somewhat reduced on straight highway segments, and increased significantly just before you make a turn. In QuickFix mode, the GeoLogger will typically log one or 2 points at the same frequency at which you have set GPSToday set to update its position.
  • Where are the log entries written?
GeoLogger allows you to choose a log filename on the device to which position updates will be written.
  • What is the GeoLogger file format?
GeoLogger writes the following comma or tab separated fields: DateTime, Latitude, Longitude, Altitude, Speed, Heading
  • Does the GeoLogger support GPX format?
Yes. The native geolog file can be uploaded to your GeoGroups account from within the app. The desktop GeoGroups website allows displaying logs on a map and downloading as GPX.
